Comms or Communications is a feature that enables you to initiate a Audio, Video or Text chat with any user in your system. You can Filter, Sort, Search and set Favorites within the Comms section. 

To see the current text chats with other users select Chats on the top left. 

And to set a contact as a Favorite, return to the contacts page and select a contact through the 3 vertical blue dots next to their name. 

From this same selection is where you can initiate a Audio, Video or Text chat.
