Map Navigation Settings
Map Navigation Settings allow the user to do functions such as set an exact address, center the map on certain locations, and determine the distance of all objects shown around a target.
Open/Close The Map Navigation Settings
To open the Map Navigation, tap the northeast arrow in the top right side of the title bar. To close it, tap anywhere.
Search For A Specific Address
To search for a specific address, type in the "Address Search" text field under Map Navigation. Then hit "Search" on your keyboard.
Go Back and Forth Between Past Locations
PublicEye allows you to quickly go back and forth between locations you have recently viewed. To do this, tap "Back" and "Forward" located under Map History in the Map Navigation menu.
Centering the Map
PublicEye has three ways of centering the map: My Location, Target, and Selected. To change these, open up Map Navigation and choose one of the three options.
Center on My Location will position your current location as the middle of the map.
Center on Target will position the map on your designated object target.
Center on Selected will position the map on the last object you tapped.
Changing The Near by Distance
By default, PublicEye sets your near by distance to a 500 foot radius. You have the ability to change the shape, the distance, and the unit of measurement.
To change the style (circle or rectangle), tap the "Style" field under "Near By Settings." To change the distance if you have selected a circle, tap the "Distance" field and change the number. To change the height and width if you have selected a rectangle, fill out each box. To change the unit of measurement (Yards, Miles, or Feet), tap the appropriate box.
