Units Responding

The Units Responding function in PublicEye allows you to alert fellow responders of your current status for any object. As expected, this will be used mostly with 911 calls. For example, "En Route" or "On Scene." PublicEye will draw a colored line that corresponds to your current status from your current or other responder positions to the call.

Open Units Responding

To open Units Responding, tap the two right arrows in the top left of any object. This will bring up a drop-down menu. Tap "Responding."

Set Your Status

To set your status in Units Responding, simply tap your current status after tapping "Responding."

Understanding the Line

Once you choose a status, a line will populate from your current location to the call. In the example below, I have chosen "Enroute," which makes a green line. You will also see the corresponding colored line of all other responders to a call.

The Responding Tab

The Responding tab allows you to see all details about units responding to the specific call as well as the history, helping you create a timeline. To access the tab, slide the middle bar of the 911 call screen until you see "Responding." Simply tap it. On the "Responders" tab, you will see the status of every responder currently attached to this specific call, along with the amount of time they have had their particular status engaged.
