Turning On and Off Map Object Types
PublicEye offers the ability to filter any object type on the map on or off depending on what is important to your specific needs. For example, a police officer might not want to see fire hydrants on the map.
Accessing the Map Filters Menu
To access the map filters menu, click the pin icon in the top right of the map. Tap your jurisdiction or an external jurisdiction (if available).
Turning Object Types On or Off
After tapping your jurisdiction, you will see a list of all available objects from your map. To turn any object on or off, tap the checkmark in the top left of each individual object box.
Filtering Individual Levels of an Object
Certain objects such as hydrants and offenders have different levels or classes. PublicEye allows you to filter what you would or would not like to view. For example, if a firefighter wanted to only see Class A hydrants.
To filter individual object levels, tap on any object in the filter list that will say "(__) of (__) selected." From here you will have the ability to switch individual object classes on or off.
Spotlight An Object
Spotlight allows you to see every object of a certain type on the map and eliminates everything else for 15 seconds. To spotlight, decide the object you would like to spotlight in the map filter list. Tap the eye logo. This will automatically put PublicEye into spotlight mode for 15 seconds. If you need longer, tap "tap to pause" in the top left of the map underneath the countdown.
