Viewing Twitter Feeds
A crucial part of PublicEye allows first responders to monitor public social media feeds. This feature can turned on or off. You also have the ability to choose any object and see all feeds around it. Furthermore, you are able to see all feeds in any area up to 6 days ago.
Turning On/Off The Social Media Feeds
To turn on the PublicEye social media viewer, simply tap the eye icon in the middle of the title bar at the end of the PublicEye logo. To turn it off, simply tap it again.
Setting Where You See Social Media Feeds
PublicEye has the ability to see feeds in one of four ways: the general map, around me, around a specific target, and around a selected target. To choose which one you would like, hold your finger over the eye logo again. This will bring up a new menu.
Choose "Map" to see feeds around the center of your current position on the map.
Choose "Around Me" to see feeds around your current physical location.
Choose "Around Target" to see feeds around a target you have set.
Choose "Around Selected" to see feeds around the object you just tapped.
Change The Date of Feeds
To see feeds from a past date, hold your finger down on the eye logo, which will bring up a menu. Tap "Selected Date/Time." Choose the day and hit save. Note: This feature currently is limited to showing data no more than 6 days in the past (Twitter restriction).
