3rd Party Mapping Systems
Bing Maps: PublicEye uses the Bing mapping system for its Windows app. This will require a 3rd party license between the customer and Microsoft.
Google Maps: PublicEye uses the Google mapping system for its Android app. This will require a 3rd party license between the customer and Google.
Apple Maps: PublicEye uses the Apple mapping system for its iOS app. Map license is included with the Apple Enterprise License.
Other Requirements
- Domain / Subdomain / IP address to be used for PublicEye web administration portal (example: publiceye.yourdomain.gov)
- Static IP address (accessible from the web) pointing to the PublicEye server / domain or subdomain (accessible from the web is not required for VPN customers)
- SSL Certificate to be used for the PublicEye web portal and data security (Sel-signed cert can be used in cases when using a VPN)
- Remote access to the server (Direct Remote Access RDP (with or without VPN) or 3rd party tool such as LogMeIn)
- User account on server with administrative privileges
- User account on SQL server with administrative privileges
- PublicEye server must be on the same network or be able to see/talk to your CAD & RMS server (or other data sources)
- Ability to transfer install files from an external FTP or direct web download to the server
CJIS Access Requirements (Law Enforcement)
- Mobile Device Manager (MDM). There are numerous MDM products on the market, such as Air Watch and Mobile Iron that can be licensed separately or subscribed to as a web-hosted service (SaaS.)
*SSL Certificate - A Standard SSL certificate is all we require. We recommend GoDaddy or Verisign. If you have a wildcard SSL certificate already for the domain, we can use this. Self-signed certs can be used when using a VPN solution.
